He punishes, will pick up the blocking quickly and delivers the shot instead of absorbing them.Chris Chandrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14864396506892837322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6236498470662179494.post-42658291549923206442010-10-16T09:00:33.772-04:002010-10-16T09:00:33.772-04:00Quarless will show up. Greg Jones. No explanation needed.

2. Boom Herron - RB - Ohio State. I don't know...an early entry, a hunch, maybe not even a need at this point, but man, does he look like Ryan Grant to me. And he looks like a TT guy. No question would fit in our blocking scheme. Great vision. 4.55, 6' 200+. Has shared carries his entire collegiate career. Made All-Academic Big Ten. Intelligent, as Grant seems to be. If he comes out, he could slip due to split carries. Might be nice in round two.Stackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07525835033475133809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6236498470662179494.post-36815659451053197152010-10-15T21:59:34.460-04:002010-10-15T21:59:34.460-04:00Anyway, players, where's our attitude?

Problem to my mind is that we don't have the attitude to convert a 4th and 1 right now. I had such pain in my heart when we failed to land Lynch in a trade. Wanted him so badly, and I'm not going to revisit the whole issue, but something he said sticks with me still.

"It's fourth and one, they know you runnin' the ball, you know you runnin' the ball, the people over in China watching the game know you runnin' the ball, you get the ball you go an get that first down."

We don't have that guy. I took the over, which was 48. Fortunately for me, we were about to attempt to seal the game with a 4th quarter drive. There was too much time left, we'd have to kick a field goal. Then Rodgers bounced an out route to Jennings on a 3rd down. I couldn't believe it. We're the Packers. That's what we do.

Needless to say, nobody scored for the remainder of the game, so my trip to Reno got off on the wrong foot. So too has our '10 season. And the things that were sure bets a year ago look like poor propositions now.

We have been besieged by injuries. Yet we're 3-2. This season feels long already. There is even longer to go between what we're seeing and playoff caliber football. It is as hard to imagine that we will continue to be this bad as it is to think that we will be deep-playoff good. That is this season, I guess.

I could not agree more with the take on the players. It hurts me to see Charles Woodson yelling at the referee. Dude, you're better than that. I don't care if we are getting jobbed, you are the reigning Defensive MVP. Just brush it off, be cool, and head back to the huddle. You do know football better than the ref. And I know you're frustrated by the offensive accommodations made by this league. Still. You are class. That's all I have to say.

The Pink: great cause, great for raising funds and awareness, to be applauded, but I hate looking at it.

Seriously, I know breast cancer is one of the biggest threats to women, but can't we just raffle off the regularly colored game gear? I was hoping it was a one-year thing.Stackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07525835033475133809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6236498470662179494.post-13372305880996071162010-10-15T21:58:45.214-04:002010-10-15T21:58:45.214-04:00A couple of weeks ago, I found myself laying on a ...A couple of weeks ago, I found myself laying on a hotel bed in Reno watching the Pack play Philly.
